Enphase Unveils Power Control Software and GaN-Based IQ9N-3P Microinverters
Enphase Energy launched Power Control software for IQ9™ and IQ8™ microinverter-based small commercial solar systems, enabling software-defined export limits via IQ Gateway Commercial 2/Pro with CTs or DTS-310 and certified UL 3141 PCS for non-export configurations. Concurrently, Enphase shipped GaN-based IQ9N-3P™ three-phase 480Y/277 V commercial microinverters with domestic content.
1. Introduction of Power Control Software
Enphase introduced Power Control software for its IQ9™ and IQ8™ microinverter-based small commercial solar systems to cut installation costs and simplify utility interconnections. The software allows installers to set aggregate export limits in the Enphase Installer App, avoiding costly transformer upgrades and complex permitting steps.
2. Installation Requirements and Benefits
The solution requires an IQ Gateway Commercial 2 or IQ Gateway Commercial Pro with consumption current transformers or a DTS-310 remote meter, depending on monitoring setup. Certified under UL 3141 PCS Options 8 and 10, it supports non-export and limited-export configurations recognized by utilities, reducing redesigns and stalled projects.
3. GaN-Based IQ9N-3P Microinverter Shipments
Enphase commenced first production shipments of GaN-based IQ9N-3P™ three-phase 480Y/277 V commercial microinverters built with domestic content. Combined with the new software, these microinverters expand the integrated commercial platform by unifying high-performance hardware with software-defined controls.
