EOG Resources raised its third-quarter 2026 current tax expense forecast to $835 million-$935 million, up from the $545 million-$645 million outlook issued Aug. 4 with its second-quarter results. The company cited higher crude oil prices realized during the quarter, tied to the Middle East conflict; NYMEX WTI averaged $85.68 a barrel for the quarter ended Sept. 30, 2026. All other third-quarter and full-year 2026 guidance ranges issued Aug. 4 were unchanged.
