Eos Energy Secures First Order for 2 GWh Reservation, Backing 100 MW/400 MWh Redbird Project
EOSE•Eos Energy Enterprises received its first purchase order under a 2 GWh capacity reservation with Frontier Power USA, backing the 100 MW/400 MWh Redbird battery storage project in ERCOT using its Z3™ technology. This order fulfills nearly 50% of Eos’ 1 GWh Bridgelink supply agreement and advances a 12 GWh development pipeline.
1. Purchase Order Under 2 GWh Reservation Agreement
Eos Energy Enterprises received its first purchase order under a 2 GWh capacity reservation agreement with Frontier Power USA Parent, LLC. The order covers delivery of a 100 MW/400 MWh Z3™ zinc-based battery energy storage system for the Redbird project in the ERCOT market.
2. Redbird Project Technical and Operational Details
Redbird is designed as a four-hour dispatchable storage asset capable of energy shifting, ancillary services and grid reliability support. Frontier Power USA and its affiliates will provide 100% of construction equity, while Bimergen Energy retains a minority economic interest in commercial operations.
3. Bridgelink Supply Agreement and Pipeline Advancement
This first order brings Eos to nearly 50% fulfillment of its 1 GWh Bridgelink master supply agreement. Beyond Redbird, the company’s development pipeline now encompasses 12 GWh of long-duration storage projects across ERCOT, PJM, CAISO and MISO.
4. Strategic Capital Partnership with Frontier Power USA
The FPUSA platform integrates late-stage project pipelines with committed capital to accelerate project execution. By converting long-standing developer relationships into construction-ready assets, this model aims to deploy Eos technology into operation at scale and speed.
