Atlanta-based credit reporting firm Equifax shares fall 12% to $158.4 in premarket trading.
The company forecasts annual adjusted EPS between $8.39 and $8.69, the midpoint of which is below estimates of $8.6, according to data compiled by LSEG.
The high end of the forecast was also trimmed to $8.69 from $8.74.
Equifax also signs an agreement to buy Mexican credit bureau Círculo de Crédito for an enterprise value of $750 million.
Q2 revenue and profit largely beat estimates.
Seventeen of 26 brokerages rate the stock "buy" or higher, nine "hold"; their median price target is $220, LSEG data show.
Up to the previous close, the stock was down 17% year to date.
