Equinix has announced a $190 million capital expenditure to construct its fourth data center facility in Malaysia, marking a significant expansion of its network footprint in Southeast Asia. This new site will augment the company’s existing portfolio in the region and cater to growing enterprise and cloud service demands.

The Malaysian data center initiative aligns with Equinix’s broader Asia-Pacific growth strategy, targeting markets with rapid digital transformation and high adoption of AI and cloud computing. Strengthening capacity in Kuala Lumpur supports regional interconnection and positions the company to capture increasing workloads.
