EQNR•The nomination committee recommended Jarle Roth, a board member since December 2025, to replace Jon Erik Reinhardsen as chairman effective July 1, subject to June 8 corporate assembly approval. The committee also re-elected Anne Drinkwater as deputy chair and five board members while balancing oil, gas and low-carbon project investments.

The nomination committee has recommended Jarle Roth to succeed Jon Erik Reinhardsen as Equinor’s board chair, subject to approval at the June 8 corporate assembly, with the transition effective July 1.
2. Jarle Roth’s Background
Roth joined Equinor’s board in December 2025 and brings decades of executive and boardroom leadership across industrial, financial and maritime sectors, including CEO roles at Eksportkreditt Norge, Arendals Fossekompani, Umoe Group, Schat-Harding and Unitor.
3. Governance and Strategy Outlook
Alongside Roth’s nomination, Anne Drinkwater was proposed as deputy chair and five members were re-elected; the refreshed board will guide Equinor’s balance of core oil and gas investments and expanding low-carbon energy projects through June 2027.
