Equinor Signs Five-Year Deal to Supply 0.5 Bcm Gas Annually to Eneco
Equinor ASA has signed a five-year agreement with Dutch gas grid operator Eneco to deliver up to 0.5 bcm of natural gas per year starting February 1, 2026. The deal includes digital guarantees of origin certificates to demonstrate lower-carbon production and cut Eneco's reported CO2 emissions by over 10%.

Equinor has agreed to supply up to 0.5 bcm of natural gas annually to Eneco over five years commencing February 1, 2026, under a fixed-volume supply contract with the Dutch gas grid operator.
2. Carbon Credentials
As part of the agreement, Equinor will use a digital platform to issue guarantees of origin certificates that verify production with lower carbon emissions on the Norwegian continental shelf. Eneco expects these certificates to reduce its reported CO2 emissions by more than 10%.
