ESpanix selects Nokia Deepfield Defender for DDoS protection service

Nokia won a deal to supply Deepfield Defender to ESpanix, Spain’s largest internet exchange, for AI-driven DDoS detection and mitigation.
Deployment covers ESpanix’s Barcelona and Madrid exchange platform, enabling a new optional DDoS protection service for more than 200 connected networks.
In-network mitigation is designed to keep Spanish internet traffic within Spain, supporting data sovereignty expectations.
Nokia said Deepfield Defender can detect DDoS attacks within seconds, enabling automated filtering while allowing legitimate traffic to continue.
