LOI covers 500 MWh or more of sodium-ion storage

ESS Tech signed a letter of intent with Juniper Energy for deployments of 500 MWh or more of sodium-ion battery storage systems.

The partnership starts with a planned 10 MW/80 MWh California project using the Bridge modular AC system, targeted for commercial operation in 2027.

Juniper indicated it intends to procure 500 MWh or more of ESS systems by 2032, subject to project execution and development.
