ESS Tech signs LOI with Juniper Energy for 500 MWh+ sodium-ion storage deployments

ESS Tech signed a letter of intent with Juniper Energy for the deployment of 500 MWh or more of sodium-ion battery storage systems.
The framework targets procurement of at least 500 MWh by 2032, subject to project execution and future development.
The parties plan an initial 10 MW/80 MWh project in California using the Bridge modular AC system and an ESS energy management system. The California project is targeted for commercial operation in 2027.
