Essent Group Q4 Net Income Falls to $155M, Raises Dividend to $0.35
Essent Group reported Q4 2025 net income of $155.0 million ($1.60 per share) and full-year net income of $690.0 million ($6.90 per share), down from $167.9 million and $729.4 million a year earlier, and raised its quarterly dividend to $0.35. It repurchased 9.9 million shares for $576 million in 2025.

Essent posted Q4 net income of $155.0 million ($1.60 per diluted share) versus $167.9 million ($1.58) in Q4 2024, and full-year net income of $690.0 million ($6.90) compared to $729.4 million ($6.85) in 2024.
2. Dividend Increase and Share Repurchase
The board approved a $0.35 quarterly cash dividend payable March 23, 2026, and during 2025 Essent repurchased 9.9 million common shares at a cost of $576 million.
3. Reinsurance Agreements
Essent Guaranty entered a quota share reinsurance covering 20% of eligible 2027 policies, and Essent Re began reinsuring property and casualty risks backed by Funds at Lloyd’s effective Q1 2026.
