Eton Pharmaceuticals' ET-700 shows fewer treatment-related adverse events than Galzin in pilot study
ETON•Eton Pharmaceuticals said its investigational extended-release zinc acetate treatment ET-700 showed better gastrointestinal tolerability but weaker inhibition of copper absorption than Galzin in a four-week pilot study of 36 healthy participants. No serious adverse events occurred.
1. Pilot study results
Eton Pharmaceuticals announced preliminary results from a four-week pilot study of ET-700, its investigational extended-release zinc acetate treatment for Wilson disease. Among 36 healthy participants, ET-700 showed better gastrointestinal tolerability than GALZIN but weaker inhibition of copper absorption; no serious adverse events occurred.
