BTIG turns bullish on Etsy after buyer trends improve
Etsy shares were up 2% premarket to $73.81 after BTIG raised the marketplace to buy from neutral and set a $90 price target, about 27% above current levels.
BTIG said the pullback in the shares creates a significantly better risk-reward for investors, with ETSY down about 4% quarter to date. The brokerage also said the company’s buyer growth is better than expected, noting that Etsy reactivated 7.1 million lapsed buyers in 2Q26, ahead of its estimate of 6.95 million.
BTIG said Etsy’s 12% workforce reduction in August should cut $35 million to $45 million in annual expenses. It also said the free cash flow yield on the stock has risen about 150 bps since July, outpacing the rise in 10-year Treasury yields and more than compensating investors.
