European gas prices ease but stay near recent highs
Benchmark Dutch and British wholesale gas prices eased from near four-year highs on Tuesday morning but remain supported by ongoing disruptions to liquefied natural gas (LNG) supply from the Middle East and Europe's efforts to replenish gas storage.
A strike at a French LNG terminal is expected to have limited impact.
The benchmark Dutch front-month contract at the TTF hub TFMBMc1 fell €0.70 to €81.87 per megawatt hour (MWh) by 0801 GMT, ICE data showed.
The British front-month contract NGLNMc1 fell by 1.85 pence to 203.34 pence per therm.
