Europe Gas-Prices retreat on renewed US-Iran deal optimism

Gas prices reverse earlier gains
Benchmark Dutch and British wholesale gas prices reversed earlier gains on Tuesday afternoon as hopes were renewed of new peace talks between the United States and Iran, after Qatar said mediators were making progress in efforts to end the U.S.-Iran war.
The benchmark Dutch front-month contract at the TTF hub TFMBMc1 was down €1.77 at €55.74 per megawatt hour (MWh) by 1358 GMT, ICE data showed. Earlier in the day, it had traded at up to €60.48/MWh.
The British front-month contract NGLNMc1 fell by 4.52 pence to 136.50 pence per therm, having traded as high as 148.37 p/therm.
