Eve Air Mobility Hits 50 Test Flights, Nears Certification Milestone
Eve Air Mobility has completed 50 successful test flights of its full-scale eVTOL prototype, accumulating over two hours of flight time and high-fidelity performance data. The company plans to produce six conforming prototypes this year to support its certification flight campaign with Brazil’s civil aviation authority.
1. Program Progress and Test Flights
Since its first flight on December 19, 2025, Eve’s full-scale eVTOL prototype has completed 50 successful flights, accumulating more than two hours of total flight time. This rapid testing pace demonstrates the maturity of the engineering model and validates its fundamental performance parameters.
2. High-Fidelity Data and Prototype Development
The test flights have generated extensive high-fidelity data on energy management, controllability, noise, vibration and stability, informing the design of upcoming conforming prototypes. Eve intends to produce six of these conforming models this year to support its formal certification campaign.
3. Certification Pathway and Next Steps
Eve will use the conforming prototypes in a structured flight test campaign with Brazil’s civil aviation authority, ANAC, targeting expanded envelope evaluations and full transition flights later this year. These steps aim to advance the company toward final type certification and commercial eVTOL deployment.
