Everpure, Illumina gain on S&P 500 inclusion

Storage platform Everpure P.N rose 2.3% premarket to $101.8, while DNA sequencing company Illumina ILMN.O was up about 1% at $220.22.
The two companies will be added to the benchmark S&P 500 .SPX from Sept. 21, along with Bloom Energy BE.N.
Forecast upgrades and year-to-date gains
Everpure and Illumina have both raised full-year forecasts in the latest reporting season.
Year to date, ILMN is up 66.3% and on track for its biggest annual gain in a decade, after saying it expects high demand for its DNA sequencing platform NovaSeq X.
Year to date, P is up 48.5%; the company expects strong AI demand.
The median rating on P by 21 brokerages is "buy," with a median price target of $130, according to LSEG-compiled data.
The median rating on ILMN by 22 brokerages is also "buy," with a median price target of $210, LSEG data show.
