Eversource reports lower quarterly earnings on Aquarion sale and offshore wind charges

Results included after-tax charges of USD 111.4 million tied to the Aquarion Water sale and USD 164 million from a higher offshore wind contingent liability.
First-half net income attributable to common shareholders slid 26.89% to USD 660.5 million, with GAAP EPS down 28.57% to USD 1.75.
Non-GAAP recurring EPS was USD 0.87 in Q2 2026, while the company reaffirmed 2026 non-GAAP recurring EPS guidance of USD 4.57 to USD 4.72.
Management highlighted the completed Aquarion divestiture and a preliminary ISO-NE selection to develop transmission linking northern Maine to southern New England.
