EVgo plans to install two to four NACS connectors per site across nine metro areas including San Francisco, Detroit and Dallas. It will add at least 150 high-power stalls annually through 2035 at six Kroger banners, with up to 16 stalls per site.

1. NACS Connector Rollout

On January 27, EVgo announced plans to deploy North American Charging Standard connectors at two to four per site across nine major metropolitan areas—San Francisco, Detroit, Dallas, Chicago, Phoenix, Orlando, Las Vegas, Houston and Austin—to accommodate NACS-equipped vehicles.

2. Kroger Partnership Expansion

On January 13, EVgo detailed an expanded agreement with Kroger to install at least 150 high-power fast-charging stalls annually through 2035 at eligible Foods Co., Fred Meyer, Fry’s Food Stores, Harris Teeter, King Soopers and Smith’s locations, with each site receiving up to 16 stalls.

3. Network Growth Implications

The introduction of NACS connectors and the accelerated Kroger rollout are aimed at enhancing EVgo’s competitive position by increasing charger compatibility and expanding fast-charging capacity across key retail and urban locations.
