Evolution Metals & Technologies named Kenji Konishi head of magnet engineering production to support its rare earth magnet manufacturing ramp.
Konishi previously served as vice president and chief technology officer at JL MAG Rare Earth.
He will lead a team of senior magnet-manufacturing engineers recruited from major Japanese producers.
The company is targeting about 10,000 metric tons of annual rare earth magnet capacity by November 2026.
