EMAT•Evolution Metals & Technologies signed a letter of intent with INERGX to engineer and service energy storage for a planned U.S. critical materials recovery facility, targeting about 1 GW of on-site capacity within two years and about 5 GW at full build-out.
1. Project plans and timeline
The facility is expected to be powered by on-site LNG generation. The parties set an eight-week timeline for a first-block design study and are targeting definitive agreements within 12 weeks of acceptance; the structure could involve direct ownership or an energy-services model, with a service agreement term expected to be 10 years.
