Executive Order Spurs Three-Year Quantum Security Drive, Boosting SEALSQ and WISeKey PQC Solutions
LAES•The White House issued an Executive Order mandating a three-year timeline for governments and enterprises to adopt post-quantum cryptography before quantum computers can break existing encryption. SEALSQ is deploying quantum-resistant microcontrollers, TPMs and secure elements while WISeKey embeds NIST-standardized PQC algorithms into its Root of Trust PKI and IoT platforms.
1. Executive Order and Three-Year Imperative
The Executive Order "Securing the Nation Against Advanced Cryptographic Attacks" directs federal agencies to lead a national shift to post-quantum cryptography within three years to preempt Q-Day when quantum computers become capable of breaking widely used public-key systems. It frames replacing classical encryption as a strategic imperative to secure government, financial and infrastructure data from “harvest now, decrypt later” threats.
2. SEALSQ’s Post-Quantum Hardware Pipeline
SEALSQ Corp has spent over a decade developing quantum-resistant semiconductor products, including secure microcontrollers, TPMs and secure elements that embed NIST-approved post-quantum algorithms at the hardware level. These solutions aim to protect connected devices and sensitive data throughout operational lifecycles against future quantum decryption capabilities.
3. WISeKey’s PQC Infrastructure and Market Impact
WISeKey’s Root of Trust PKI and digital identity platforms now support hybrid classical-post-quantum frameworks, facilitating compliance and interoperability across IoT networks, satellite communications and critical infrastructure. Its secure semiconductor personalization services also align with national supply-chain resilience initiatives seeking sovereign, quantum-resilient technologies.
