Existing Home Sales Stagnate at 4.06M in 2025, December Rises 5.1%
Sales of existing U.S. homes totaled 4.06 million in 2025, flat year-over-year and marking the lowest annual pace since 1995, while median prices climbed 1.7% to $414 400. Easing 30-year mortgage rates near 6% drove December sales up 5.1% to 4.35 million units, the strongest pace in nearly three years.
