XOM•Rotterdam refinery restarts after outage
LONDON, Aug. 13 (Reuters) - Exxon Mobil has restarted its 191,000 barrels per day (bpd) Rotterdam oil refinery on Thursday following a shutdown due a power outage earlier in the day, an Exxon Mobil spokesperson said.
It was not clear if the power outage was related to an explosion at the port of Rotterdam earlier in the day.
Local safety authorities said that the port had experienced several power outages as well as a fire earlier on Thursday but that none of these incidents were connected to the blast. The fire caused no injuries.
