Exxon Mobil’s Uaru and Whiptail projects in Guyana, its fifth and sixth offshore developments, will each produce 250,000 barrels per day, advancing ahead of schedule and under budget. Uaru is slated to start output this year while Whiptail targets a 2027 start, lifting total Guyana production to 1.4 million bpd.

Each project will contribute 250,000 barrels per day of capacity, lifting Guyana’s aggregate output to 1.4 million bpd. These additions mark the company’s fifth and sixth offshore projects in the country, reinforcing its leading position in the region.
3. Strategic Production Mix and Financial Impact
Exxon projects that advantaged assets like Guyana, the Permian and LNG will account for about 65% of total production by 2030. The Guyanese government is also encouraging natural gas infrastructure, opening potential for downstream petrochemical plants and data center power supply.
