XOM•Tanker's attack and damage at CPC terminal
MOSCOW, July 17 (Reuters) - An oil tanker chartered by ExxonMobil for loading oil at the Caspian Pipeline Consortium (CPC) terminal off Russia's Black Sea coast was attacked overnight, a CPC spokesman said.
He said the Suezmax-class tanker, the Nordic Zenith, was damaged and therefore will not be berthed and loaded at the terminal. The tanker sent a Mayday signal and CPC sent an emergency crew, which extinguished the fire and evacuated 13 people while nine chose to remain on board.
