F5 report finds cloud-driven gains mask gaps in post-quantum cybersecurity readiness
FFIV•F5’s 2026 cybersecurity report found post-quantum cryptography support at 54% of the top 1 million websites, but only 22% excluding Cloudflare-hosted sites. It also found 10.5% of websites cannot support TLS 1.3, a prerequisite for hybrid post-quantum encryption.
1. Readiness gaps remain
F5’s 2026 cybersecurity report found post-quantum cryptography support at 54% of the top 1 million websites, largely driven by third-party defaults. Excluding Cloudflare-hosted sites, readiness falls to 22%; 10.5% of websites cannot support TLS 1.3, a prerequisite for hybrid post-quantum encryption. No industry exceeds 59% adoption, even including protection enabled by content delivery networks, and utilities, energy and other critical sectors rank among the least prepared.
