Faraday Future climbs after robotics unit deal and strategic upgrade into robotaxi operator
FFAI•Faraday Future shares rose 27.6% to $1.78 in extended trading after it said AIxC proposed acquiring its robotics assets at an approximately $200 million valuation. The company plans to shift its automotive business from EV manufacturing to robotaxi shared mobility.
1. Robotics assets deal
AIxC proposed acquiring Faraday Future’s robotics assets at an approximately $200 million valuation, with the aim of a standalone Nasdaq listing for the robotics firm. Faraday Future’s robotics business projects revenue of approximately $7.1 million in 2026 and $45.17 million in 2027.
2. Robotaxi strategy
Faraday Future said it plans to evolve its automotive business from an EV manufacturer to a robotaxi shared-mobility operator. AIxC plans to change its name to FF EAI Robotics Ecosystem Inc. on September 30, with its ticker changing from AIXC to FFR.
3. Recent share performance
Faraday Future shares had fallen nearly 99% year to date through Monday’s close.
