Farnam Launches Endure Gold Fly & Mosquito Spray With Two Novel EPA-Approved Actives

CENTACENTA

Farnam has launched Endure Gold Killer Fly & Mosquito Control, the first EPA-approved equine spray combining acetamiprid and etofenprox for fast knockdown and extended protection. The six-ingredient formula supports rotational use to manage resistant pests and deliver longer-lasting control for horses and related animals.

1. Company Launch

Farnam, part of Central Garden & Pet’s portfolio, has introduced Endure Gold Killer Fly & Mosquito Control as its next-generation equine fly spray. The product aims to enhance comfort and protection for horses by offering a strategic, long-lasting solution against flies and mosquitoes.

2. Active Ingredients

Endure Gold is the first EPA-approved equine spray to feature two novel actives—acetamiprid and etofenprox—alongside four established insecticides. This six-ingredient formula delivers rapid knockdown and sustained efficacy beyond traditional short-term relief.

3. Resistance Management

Developed for integrated pest management, Endure Gold’s rotational mode of action helps slow the development of insecticide resistance in fly populations. Horse owners can alternate this spray with other chemistries to maintain long-term control and reduce reliance on a single active ingredient.

4. Availability and Target Market

Scheduled to hit retail shelves and eCommerce channels nationwide as peak fly season begins, Endure Gold is approved for use on horses, ponies, foals, miniature horses, donkeys and mules. The launch broadens Farnam’s equine care offerings and aims to capture more market share in the fly control segment.
