FedEx Freight forecasts fiscal 2026 revenue of $8.7 billion with a 12% operating margin and medium-term revenue growth of 4%–6% as it prepares to spin off on June 1. The stand-alone carrier will target share gains in small-to-medium business, grocery, health care and data center LTL segments while optimizing its network, docks and fleet.

1. Spinoff Details and Financial Outlook

FedEx Freight will become an independent, publicly traded LTL carrier on June 1, with its common stock listed under FDXF on the NYSE. For fiscal 2026, the division projects $8.7 billion in revenue and a 12% operating margin, targeting 4%–6% compound annual growth thereafter.

2. Targeted LTL Market Segments

The carrier aims to increase penetration in four key verticals: small-to-medium business, grocery, health care and data centers/energy. A transfer of Custom Critical operations is expected to bolster health care revenue, while new dedicated sales teams will pursue high-growth opportunities in under-serviced markets.

3. Operational Growth Initiatives

Three core initiatives—linehaul network optimization, dock optimization and fleet modernization—will enhance efficiency and service quality. FedEx Freight currently operates 365 locations, around 26,000 service center doors and 30,000 vehicles, giving it scale advantages as it refines its network footprint.
