Fed's Goolsbee on inflation: discouraging, but still some optimism

Chicago Fed President Austan Goolsbee called this week's stronger-than-expected consumer and producer price inflation data “discouraging” but said he remained somewhat optimistic. He said inflation driven by tariffs or Middle East wars and supply disruptions could fade, while demand from AI data center construction would be more concerning.
