Fed's Musalem says he favored rate hike at recent policy meeting

Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis President Alberto Musalem said on Thursday that he favored a rate hike at the central bank’s most recent monetary policy meeting.
“The federal funds rate is our primary tool for making monetary policy, and I expressed a preference at the meeting to raise the federal funds rate by 25 basis points,” Musalem said in remarks in São Paulo, Brazil.
