Ferrari drivers say Mexico row settled after talks
RACE•Ferrari drivers Lewis Hamilton and Charles Leclerc said talks with team principal Frederic Vasseur had settled tensions after their opening-lap clash at the Mexico City Grand Prix.
1. Drivers move on
Hamilton and Leclerc said the controversy following their clash at the Mexico City Grand Prix was now closed after they met with Vasseur this week. The incident derailed Ferrari’s hopes of a one-two finish, and Hamilton had publicly criticised how the race unfolded.
2. Focus shifts to Brazil
Both drivers said their conversation helped them share their perspectives and move forward. Leclerc qualified fourth for the Sao Paulo Grand Prix but will drop 10 places because of power unit changes; Hamilton will start from the back after engine penalties totalling 65 places.
