1. Ferrari Denies Luce Purchase Requirement
Ferrari’s Chief Marketing and Commercial Officer Enrico Galliera stated that ownership of the €550,000 Luce EV will not be a prerequisite for obtaining future limited-production vehicles, preserving the company’s established approach to customer access and brand integrity.
2. Potential Impact on Residual Values
Galliera warned that compelling customers to buy the Luce solely for purchase privileges could create negative ambassadors and drive early resale, undermining the vehicle’s reputation and exacerbating the residual value challenges facing luxury electric models.
3. Established Allocation System for Limited Models
Ferrari continues to prioritize long-standing clients through its allocation system, which in 2025 delivered 84% of new cars to existing owners and 56% to customers owning multiple Ferraris, ensuring a loyal collector base remains central to limited-edition sales.
4. Focus on Genuine Buyer Demand
The company instructed dealers to target the Luce only to buyers with authentic interest, aiming to maintain genuine demand rather than speculative purchases driven by expectations of additional benefits or future access to exclusive releases.
