FibroBiologics cell therapy preserves disc height in preclinical rabbit study
FBLG•FibroBiologics said its fibroblast spheroid-derived chondrocyte spheroids preserved disc height better than other tested fibroblast treatments during a 12-week rabbit study.
1. Rabbit study findings
FibroBiologics presented preclinical degenerative disc disease findings at the North American Spine Society meeting on Oct. 15, 2026. All three fibroblast-based treatments improved disc height compared with controls after a single injection, while fibroblast spheroid-derived chondrocyte spheroids preserved disc height better than the other treatments throughout the 12-week study.
