FICO survey shows 5.2% of tech leaders confident explaining AI decisions
FICO•Fair Isaac’s 2026 survey of 1,004 senior technology, risk and data leaders found that 5.2% were very confident explaining AI-driven decisions to regulators or customers. It also found that 71.5% of customer-impacting decisions were made without AI, while 8.2% reported a fully implemented single AI deployment platform.

Fair Isaac’s 2026 State of Responsible AI survey found that 71.5% of customer-impacting decisions were made without AI despite heavy investment. Model development standards were cited by 71.9% of respondents as the responsible AI practice with the biggest potential impact, while 8.2% reported having a fully implemented single AI deployment platform.
