First Capital Q2 FY26 net income rises 26.13% to $4.8 million

- First Capital posted Q2 net income of $4.8 million, or $1.43 a share, up 26.98% from a year earlier.
- Tax-equivalent net interest margin widened 39 basis points to 3.98%, lifting net interest income to $12.09 million from $15.62 million interest income.
- Provision for credit losses rose to $425,000 from $306,000; net charge-offs narrowed to $58,000 from $113,000.
- Noninterest income increased to $2.21 million from $2.02 million, helped by a $92,000 gain on equity securities versus a $41,000 loss.
- Total assets rose to $1.29 billion at June 30 from $1.27 billion at Dec. 31, while deposits climbed to $1.14 billion from $1.12 billion.
