First Citizens names Stacie Bales Barton, Sharon Thompson as regional executive VPs for Central U.S. growth

First Citizens BancShares named Stacie Bales Barton and Sharon Thompson as regional executive vice presidents to drive Central U.S. expansion.

Barton will lead the newly formed Community West Region. She previously served as senior vice president, market president at BMO, where she oversaw a multi-state branch network.

Thompson will lead the Northeast Regional territory. She previously served as chief commercial banking officer at United Community Bank, where she led commercial strategy, risk and growth.

Both executives will report to regional executive vice president Ron Sanchez.

The moves align with First Citizens’ planned acquisition of 138 central U.S. branches.
