First Financial Completes BankFinancial Conversion, Adds 15 Chicagoland Branches and $1M Community Fund
FFBC•First Financial Bank completed conversion of BankFinancial’s operating systems and rebranded 15 Chicagoland branches and ATMs under its name. The bank now offers its full suite of consumer, commercial, specialty banking and wealth management services to local clients and committed $1 million to its regional foundation.
1. Conversion and Rebranding
On June 8, First Financial Bank finalized the integration of BankFinancial’s operating systems and rebranded 15 retail branches and ATMs across Chicagoland under the First Financial banner, ensuring a seamless transition for all former BankFinancial clients.
2. Expanded Service Offerings
Clients at the converted locations gain immediate access to First Financial’s full range of services, including consumer banking, commercial banking, specialty financing and wealth management solutions previously unavailable under the BankFinancial name.
3. Community Investment
As part of the conversion rollout, First Financial pledged $1 million to the First Financial Foundation to support nonprofit organizations within the newly served Chicagoland communities, reinforcing its community-first approach.
4. Strategic Regional Growth
The addition of these Chicagoland branches extends First Financial’s footprint beyond its established markets in Northwest Indiana, Kankakee, Watseka and Hoopeston, complementing its existing commercial lending offices and specialty divisions in Chicago and Lincolnshire.
