FHN•First Horizon Bank appointed Jason Triplett, its commercial banking head, as Western North Carolina Area President for the Mid-Atlantic Region, covering Asheville, Boone, Hickory and Lenoir. With $84.1 billion in assets, the bank aims to leverage Triplett’s community ties to expand market share and deepen client engagement across the region.
1. Leadership Appointment
First Horizon Bank named Jason Triplett, previously Head of Commercial Banking, as Western North Carolina Area President reporting to Laura Bunn, Mid-Atlantic Regional President. In this role, Triplett will oversee community banking operations and associate engagement across Asheville, Boone, Hickory and Lenoir.
2. Regional Expansion Strategy
The bank seeks to boost market share in Western North Carolina by leveraging local relationships and targeted growth initiatives. With $84.1 billion in assets as of March 31, 2026, First Horizon plans to deploy capital and counsel to deepen client connections and support regional economic development.
3. Triplett's Community Involvement
A long-time resident, Triplett serves on Appalachian State University's Department of Finance, Banking and Insurance advisory board, the NC Housing Finance Agency board of directors, and the Boone Chamber Advocacy Task Force. His established local network is expected to drive community partnerships and client acquisition.
