First Majestic Silver Q3 production falls 11% to 3.4 million oz after San Dimas labor dispute
AG•First Majestic Silver reported third-quarter 2026 silver production of 3,440,447 ounces, down 11% year over year, citing a 12-day labor disruption at San Dimas. The TSX accepted a renewed buyback starting Oct. 14, capped at 10 million shares.
1. Production and buyback
Gold production fell 17% to 29,552 ounces, while zinc declined 4% to 13,277,264 pounds, lead rose 2% to 7,839,182 pounds and copper fell 8% to 221,111 pounds. Ore processed increased 9% to 1,088,708 tonnes. At San Dimas, silver output dropped 41% to 859,869 ounces and gold fell 26% to 10,386 ounces, reflecting lower grades. The renewed buyback is capped at 10 million shares, about 2% of the 493,080,912 shares outstanding.
