Fiserv launched a strategic collaboration with OpenAI to integrate frontier AI into financial institution workflows using the newly introduced agentOS platform. This partnership marks Fiserv’s first deep alliance with OpenAI to embed advanced AI directly into its payments and financial technology solutions.

The collaboration will concentrate on four key domains: developing first-party AI agents on agentOS, compressing timelines and reducing risk in core conversions and digital migrations, encoding deep banking domain context into new product offerings, and advancing cybersecurity capabilities for institutions of all sizes.

Joint teams from Fiserv and OpenAI are already at work on initial solutions, with client rollouts planned throughout the remainder of 2026. These phased deployments aim to deliver meaningful operational impact by addressing high-capacity workflows without disrupting day-to-day operations.

By embedding AI into trusted platforms, Fiserv expects to alleviate operational burdens, accelerate modernization projects, and strengthen security, enabling financial institutions to reallocate capacity toward customer-centric services and faster innovation.
