1. Fiserv Teams Up With Microsoft To Accelerate AI Adoption
On Thursday, Fiserv announced a strategic collaboration with Microsoft designed to embed generative AI across the company’s development platforms. Under the agreement, Fiserv will deploy Microsoft 365 Copilot enterprise-wide and expand use of Microsoft Foundry for AI application development. Since the partnership began, Fiserv engineers have processed more than 100 billion tokens in Foundry and more than 8,000 developers now leverage GitHub Copilot in their workflows. From a technical standpoint, Fiserv’s shares climbed 2.16%, trading above their 20-day moving average. Although the stock remains below its 200-day simple moving average, a recent MACD bullish crossover hints at potential upside for investors closely monitoring momentum indicators.
2. Clover Integrates Biometric Payments Through Wink Collaboration
Fiserv’s Clover platform has launched a first-of-its-kind identity-based payment solution by integrating Wink’s multimodal biometric technology—face, palm and voice recognition—directly into Clover devices. This rollout, initially targeting quick-service restaurants, sports venues and retail outlets, will extend through 2026. Merchants can now offer loyalty enrollment, instant age verification and biometric checkout with no hardware changes to Station Duo, Mini, Flex or Kiosk terminals, and with minimal integration effort. By storing biometric profiles in a secure token vault separate from payment credentials, Clover reduces transaction friction, enhances security against fraud and helps drive repeat visits. The solution will be demonstrated live at NRF 2026 in New York City, giving attendees hands-on experience with the new identity-driven checkout process.
