EWZ•Pollster Datafolha projected that Flavio Bolsonaro and President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva would advance to a runoff in Brazil’s presidential election. With 64.81% of ballots tallied, Bolsonaro had 49.58% of valid votes and Lula had 42.25%.

With 64.81% of ballots tallied, Senator Flavio Bolsonaro had 49.58% of valid votes, compared with 42.25% for President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva, according to the country’s electoral authority. Pollster Datafolha projected that the candidates were headed to a runoff.
