Flex and Cerebras expanded their manufacturing partnership to scale production of the Cerebras CS-3 AI supercomputers in Milpitas, California. The collaboration targets one of the industry’s largest wafer-scale AI systems and leverages Flex’s technical and operational capabilities.
Flex will install multiple new assembly and integration lines, advanced test stations, and precision tooling to boost CS-3 output by approximately 7× through 2026. The ramp includes expanded floor space, automated test infrastructure and tailored manufacturing methodologies for wafer-scale engines.
This expansion underscores Flex’s commitment to domestic advanced manufacturing, shifting sophisticated AI system production to the U.S. facility. The project will drive hiring in assembly, systems integration, quality assurance, supply chain and testing functions across the Milpitas site.
