Flex Unveils 110 kW AI Power Shelf and 30 kW Energy Storage System
FLEX•Flex unveiled a 110 kW power shelf for NVIDIA Vera Rubin NVL72 platforms and a 30 kW capacitive energy storage system to stabilize dynamic AI workloads and support 800 VDC architectures. It also introduced the BMR317 intermediate bus converter, expanding its high-efficiency power portfolio for high-density compute platforms.
1. New 110 kW Power Shelf for AI Platforms
Flex’s 110 kW power shelf is engineered for NVIDIA Vera Rubin NVL72 platforms and future high-density AI racks, enabling modular rack-level power distribution and disaggregation. Designed as a building block for emerging 800 VDC deployments, it maximizes GPU density, simplifies rack power management and supports scalable AI infrastructure expansion.
2. 30 kW Capacitive Energy Storage System
The 30 kW capacitive energy storage system (CESS) smooths transient AI power demands and improves power quality across traditional AC and 800 VDC environments. Compatible with 19-inch and 21-inch racks, the CESS enhances resilience alongside battery energy storage and UPS systems, stabilizing dynamic workloads in high-performance data centers.
3. BMR317 Intermediate Bus Converter Expansion
Flex introduced the BMR317 intermediate bus converter to extend its chip-level power portfolio with a compact, high-efficiency module for accelerator cards, servers and xPU platforms. The converter supports fast, dynamic AI processor loads, reinforcing Flex’s strategy to deliver end-to-end power solutions for next-generation compute architectures.
