Flipkart Hits 1,000 Quick-Commerce Centers, Targets 1,500 by 2026

Amazon Now operates over 500 centers across 15+ cities and plans to scale to more than 1,000 centers in 100 cities while broadening its assortment.

Flipkart launched its Minutes service in August 2024 and has deployed 1,000 micro-fulfillment centers across India in under two years. The company plans to add 500 more centers by the end of 2026 to strengthen its delivery network and speed.
2. Amazon Now’s Expansion Strategy
Amazon Now currently runs over 500 micro-fulfillment centers in more than 15 Indian cities. The service is slated to expand to 100 cities with over 1,000 centers, extending beyond groceries into categories such as apparel, electronics and home products.
3. Intensifying Competitive Landscape
Blinkit leads with 2,243 centers, while Zepto and Swiggy Instamart are aggressively scaling their networks. This race for infrastructure underscores the battle for market share in one of the world’s fastest-growing quick-commerce markets.
4. Shifting Consumer Demand
Flipkart Minutes has seen orders grow about 400% year-over-year and customer retention rise 20%. Demand is increasingly coming from electronics, beauty and personal care rather than just groceries, reflecting evolving shopping habits.
