Fluor wins FEED contract for GPIC aromatics plant expansion in Bahrain

Fluor won a front-end engineering and design contract from GPIC for a new aromatics facility in Bahrain.

• The project expands GPIC’s Sitra petrochemical complex, which currently produces ammonia, urea, methanol.
• The planned plant targets annual output of about 1,200,000 metric tons of paraxylene and 500,000 metric tons of benzene.
