Ford F-150 supplier disruption to impact third-quarter dealer shipments, CEO says
F•Ford CEO Jim Farley said a supplier issue that disrupted F-150 production has been resolved but affected the company’s third-quarter wholesale numbers.

Farley said the supplier issue, which he did not name, has been fixed and Ford is back up and running. He said it affected third-quarter wholesale numbers but added that he was “very optimistic.”
2. Truck output context
Farley said Ford had fully recovered from the effects of two factory fires late last year that disrupted production at aluminum supplier Novelis. The recent supplier issue was unrelated to the aluminum disruption. Ford’s F-Series truck sales fell 11% year over year through August.
