Ford Seeks New CMO After Materazzo’s Exit Following 14% Q2 Sales Boost
Ford’s global chief marketing officer Lisa Materazzo will depart June 1, with product marketing chief Dean Stoneley as interim CMO while Ford searches for a replacement. Materazzo, who launched the “Ready, Set, Ford” strategy after driving a campaign that delivered a 14% second-quarter sales gain, built Ford’s brand.

Lisa Materazzo, who joined Ford in 2023, will leave her role as global chief marketing officer on June 1. The automaker has appointed Dean Stoneley, global product marketing executive director, as interim CMO while it conducts a search for a new marketing leader.

During her tenure, Materazzo modernized Ford’s marketing function, launching the Ready, Set, Ford global brand strategy in September. She also spearheaded the campaign that produced a 14% increase in second-quarter sales and revived employee-pricing initiatives to support both retail and commercial customers.

Dean Stoneley previously served as CEO of Ford Canada and CEO of FordDirect, bringing extensive experience in digital strategy and advanced product marketing. His interim appointment aims to maintain momentum in global marketing operations during the executive transition.
